Individual Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a powerful practice for cultivating internal sensory awareness (interoception) from the tradition of BKS Iyengar.

Through the use of props and long-held, supportive poses, restorative yoga encourages deep relaxation, allowing you to slow down and fully experience the sensations in your body. The practice is a meditation for the body that emphasizes alignment, support, and mindful relaxation to restore balance and ease within the mind and body. This safe, comfortable space promotes the parasympathetic nervous system, the body’s “rest and digest” function, which helps you become more attuned to what’s happening inside. As you breathe and settle into poses, you learn to notice where you’re holding tension, where you might feel discomfort, and where there’s ease. This awareness fosters a sense of control and understanding, making it easier to manage emotions and stress. Over time, restorative yoga helps you develop a quiet, mindful attention to your body’s signals, supporting emotional regulation, reducing anxiety, and promoting overall well-being.

Individual sessions are about 75 minutes in length and you will be guided through 3 poses, with sensory based props and supports. Cost: $125.
